Whimsy Winners

Thank you so much to everyone who entered my giveaway!  It was so awesome reading all of your responses.  I spent all week reading them and then imparting my wisdom about the world to my husband.

Thanks to you all I now know that....

Sweden is the number 3 place in the world to be an entrepreneur (thanks Hanna)

That Gisborne in New Zealand is the first place to see the sun each day (thanks Michell)

That Durban is the busiest port in Africa (thanks Cleo)

That the cardinal is the state bird of North Carolina (thanks Jennie)

That the slugs in Melbourne will eat your mail (thanks Kris)

And the best town name that I came across was a tie between Saskatoon (Flo) and Penistone (Hannah).

When I was younger and desperate to travel I had a map of Europe on my wall with push pins in all the places I wanted to go.  One day when I had returned from shopping, my boyfriend (now my husband) had taken out all of the pins and relocated them into places that sounded a slightly risque.  There were pins in Brest, Condom and Pecs among others...so Penistone went down particularly well with him.  His mature sense of humour is one of his finer qualities.

After I decided to ask peeps where they were from and something random about where they lived I started thinking what would I say about where I lived?  This is the only thing I could think of....

I am from Adelaide, Australia and at the university I attended one of the main halls, a grand old building called Bonython Hall, was built with a purposely sloping floor to discourage dancing.  That's how we play things here in Adelaide!

Anyway, drum roll........the winners! (If you see this post you'll see that I was having so much fun reading your comments that I decided to give away two lots of Whimsy).
