I had sent it off to Australian Patchwork and Quilting and today they sent it back to me along with a copy of the magazine in which it features. It was all a bit thrilling for a Monday afternoon.
The edition my quilt is in is Vol 21 No 11 and should be in newsagents this week. I called the quilt Tipperary because I had started out working a design around the Road to Dublin block but I chopped and changed a few things and then altered the way the block went together to come up with a different design entirely.
Thank you so much to Elaine and everyone at Australian Patchwork and Quilting for the opportunity to have my work published in such an esteemed magazine. I am off to celebrate with a block of Lindt Orange Intense.
As usual I am linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced....
It is lovely and you are just a bit flash Miss Shontelle!
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely quilt! Was wondering whether you would make your deadline - will keep my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt Shontelle, I love the backdrop you have used in this picture too. It looks very old world (the quilt), very nice indeed.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Shontelle! The quilt is just perfect. I love the colors and the design.
