This is a Carpenter's Wheel that I've made with the scraps from this quilt....
Some kind of HST block made from the scraps of this quilt.... Does anyone know if this block has a name?
I am going to turn them into cushions. I was hoping to have that done before Festival, but the probability of that happening is dwindling every day....
Here are some 8" blocks made out of my 30s stash. I love them. This first one is the Simple Flower basket block...
Anvil....
A modified Castles in Spain block.....
And one of my all time favourites, Baby Bunting.....
Here they are dangling in the breeze. I plan to make them into a sampler once I've finished them all.
This little scrappy number was made with my 22.5 degree dresden ruler to create tumbler blocks. I am also going to turn it into a cushion for my son's room. The likelihood of this happening is slightly higher. Very slightly...
Now I am off to turn these......
By Monday. Wish me luck.
Sorry, you have been so busy but I ended up laughing out loud at your final sentence. Hope you manage to achieve all you aim to!
ReplyDeleteLuck! Love modern vintage!
ReplyDeleteI can picture you sewing your fingers to the bone, but it will be worth it! And, I agree with you, HSTs are infinitely awesome in any project. Have fun at the show and good luck with the demos!
ReplyDeleteI love half square triangles. So many patterns to choose from.
ReplyDeleteSo many fun things to do with half square triangles :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm - I think there will be some steam rising from your machine! Good luck with the demonstrations too - what fun!
ReplyDeleteLoving those HST and I hope that you are bear to finishing that quilt as it is Sunday already ;-)
ReplyDeleteI swear that there is no better block than the humble, but mighty, HST. Love your blocks. The Carpenter Star is one of my absolute favorites of all time. Yours is so pretty! : )
